Acrylic Figure Work

Stephens’s acrylic figure work tends to be more abstracted than the oils and is influenced by his acrylic landscape work.  Acrylics dry extremely fast and lend themselves to multiple layer application. Using bigger brushes, sprayers, rollers, pallet knives, fingers, tape – paint is applied using a variety of methods to achieve different effects.
